THE CALL I DIDN’T ANSWER
A novel about love, loss, and the things we leave unsaid.
Chris Yiangou
Now available in paperback on Amazon and Lulu, and as a Kindle eBook on Amazon.
The story
When the woman he once loved calls in the middle of the night, Adam lets the phone ring. He tells himself he’ll call her back in the morning.
By then, it will be too late.
Elena is gone, and Adam is left with a question he cannot put down: why did she call him, after all those years?
Weeks after the funeral, her husband hands him a small box of things she kept. Sitting across from the man she married, Adam begins to see that Elena remembered their parting very differently, and that the story he has told himself for years may not be the true one.
What he learns will force him to face the choices they made, the lives they built apart, and what those choices cost the people they went on to love.
Sometimes the moments that shape a life are not the ones we choose, but the ones we delay.
A novel about love, loss, and the things we leave unsaid.

About the Author
Chris Yiangou
Chris Yiangou is an author whose writing explores the emotional complexities of human relationships, love, loss, memory, and the choices that shape our lives.
His stories find meaning in the moments that often go unnoticed: a conversation left unfinished, a connection that survives distance, a decision postponed, or a memory that refuses to fade.
His novels When the Noise Fades and The Call I Didn’t Answer explore identity, emotional connection, personal transformation, and the lasting influence of the past.
Through intimate storytelling, psychologically nuanced characters, and emotionally authentic narratives, Chris seeks to create books that invite readers not only to follow a story, but to recognise something of themselves within it.
His work is published under Aegean Publishing, the literary imprint of Aegean Astraea.
