Who we are

Aegean Astraea is an independent digital-products brand operated from Cyprus, serving an international audience. It is not a legally incorporated company at the time of writing. The individual operator of Aegean Astraea acts as the controller for personal data handled through aegeanastraea.com and VERISTUM, unless a separate product policy applies. For any privacy question, email admin@aegeanastraea.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers aegeanastraea.com (the corporate website you are reading now, including the Insurance Guide, VERISTUM account and checkout entry points, and the VERISTUM enquiry form) and the private VERISTUM workspace. It does not cover:

• External product websites. Products such as Duevia and LeaveVia are operated on their own domains and publish their own privacy terms. Anything you enter there is governed by that product's policy, not this one.
• Digital templates. Templates are files you download and use on your own devices or accounts. We do not receive or see the data you enter into them.
• Publications. Books, planners and journals may be sold through third-party retailers. Those retailers act as the seller and handle your purchase data under their own policies.

Information collected on this website

Most public pages can be viewed without an account and the website does not run advertising or tracking cookies. If you create a VERISTUM account, authentication data is processed as described below. Our hosting provider processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and requested page) to serve the site securely and reliably.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 only if you choose to accept analytics in our consent banner. No analytics script, request or cookie is loaded before you accept. Analytics helps us understand how the website is used so we can improve our services. Advertising and personalisation features remain switched off, and the private /workbench area is excluded from analytics entirely.

You can reject analytics, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Your choice is stored locally in your browser for 180 days, after which we ask again.

Insurance Guide

The Insurance Guide matches your question against a fixed set of verified answers held in the page itself. The free text you type is processed locally in your browser for that session only: it is not saved, is not transmitted to Aegean Astraea, and is never sent to Google Analytics.

VERISTUM enquiries

The VERISTUM page at /software/legal-workbench includes an enquiry form. When you submit it we collect your full name, work email, optional organisation or company, role or profession, country, the plan you say you are interested in, the intended-use text you write, and your acknowledgement of the current coverage note.

We use this information to respond to product questions, consider Founding Member requests, discuss custom arrangements and provide related support. The submission is delivered server-side by email to the Aegean Astraea inbox; it is not stored in a database on this website, and it does not automatically create an account, an invitation, a subscription or any access. Selecting a plan in this enquiry form is an indication of interest only: no payment details are collected by the form and no charge is made.

VERISTUM account creation and authentication

If you choose a self-service Individual or Team plan, you can create a VERISTUM account using your email address and password before checkout. Supabase provides authentication on our behalf and stores the authentication information needed to identify and secure your account. Where email confirmation is required, your selected plan is retained so you can continue to checkout after confirmation. Creating an account alone does not activate paid access.

Payments for VERISTUM

VERISTUM self-service checkout for Individual and Team plans is provided through Stripe. Payment details are handled by Stripe under the payment terms and privacy information presented at checkout. We receive only the customer, transaction and subscription information needed to administer the service. We do not receive or store full payment-card details.

VERISTUM document tools and saved results

The local document tools process supported input files and text in your browser. Checking legal references sends the detected identifiers and selected date to the service. If you choose to save a result, its contents are transmitted to and stored in your workspace. Saved results may include text derived from the document, comparison changes, findings, references, dates and filenames. Review the displayed result before saving sensitive material.

Original input files are not uploaded by the local tools' Save action. Files uploaded separately to a Matter follow that Matter's upload and storage workflow; the local-only processing description does not apply to those uploads.

VERISTUM (private workspace)

VERISTUM is a private, access-controlled workspace. To provide the service we store account details, workspace and matter records, saved sources and research results. Authentication and data storage are provided by Supabase on our behalf.

For AI-supported Legal Research, bounded research inputs (such as your research question and its parameters) and selected passages of verified official legal text are sent server-side through the Lovable AI Gateway to a Google Gemini model in order to produce research output. Documents you upload to a Matter are not sent to that AI service by the current Legal Research panel. Please do not enter classified, confidential or unnecessary personal information.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep account and workspace data only for as long as needed to provide and secure the service and to keep necessary records. Enquiry emails and general correspondence are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to assess and respond to them and to keep necessary records. You can ask for access, correction or deletion by emailing admin@aegeanastraea.com; we will act on such requests subject to any legal, security or backup constraints that apply.

Contacting us

Apart from the VERISTUM enquiry form and VERISTUM account-creation fields described above, the public-facing website collects no personal details through forms. General contact is by email, using hello@aegeanastraea.com. When you email us, we hold your message and contact details as described above. We do not sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing. If we add further forms, this policy will be updated first to describe what is collected, why, and how long it is kept.

Third-party services and external links

We rely on third parties only where needed: hosting and infrastructure for the website; Supabase for VERISTUM authentication and data storage; an email delivery provider for server-side email such as enquiry notifications; Stripe for VERISTUM checkout and subscription-payment services; Google Analytics 4 only if you opt in; and the Lovable AI Gateway with an underlying Google Gemini model for VERISTUM research output. Each of these receives only the data relevant to that function, not everything we hold. We may also link to external websites such as product sites and retailers; following an external link takes you outside our control, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email admin@aegeanastraea.com. If you are in the EU or EEA, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
