On 29 October 2026, the UK government announced Scale UK Connect, a national pilot intended to support 200 high-growth UK businesses. Applications are open until January 2027, with the selected group scheduled to begin in February 2027.
According to the official announcement, participating firms will receive 12 months of tailored support, including practical advice, introductions to investors and potential customers, and opportunities to develop international links. The programme is being delivered with London & Partners and regional organisations.
This is a targeted programme for selected UK scale-ups, not a general cash grant or a service available automatically to every small business. Eligibility and application details should be checked with the programme itself.
Why it matters
Why it matters: growth constraints are not always solved by buying another tool or obtaining more finance. A business may instead need a clearer route to customers, experienced advice about entering a market or an introduction to a suitable partner.
A useful first step for any growing team is to name its current constraint precisely. Is the next difficulty finding qualified customers, understanding an unfamiliar market, building delivery capacity or preparing to speak to potential investors?
